Object Management Group Announces New Orleans as Venue for Q3 Member Meeting from September 25-29, 2017

Needham, MA – July 26, 2017 – The Object Management Group® (OMG®), an international, open membership, not-for-profit technology standards consortium, will hold its next quarterly Technical Meeting from September 25-29 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans Hotel, New Orleans, LA, USA.
One of the largest and longest-standing consortia developing and maintaining computer industry specifications, the OMG meets once per quarter for live meetings among members who are influencing the direction of future technology standards. Members companies, from large industry, start-ups, academia and government organizations across the country, attend OMG Technical Meetings to evolve standards, exchange ideas, learn from industry experts, network with peers and be among the first to know and be part of what will be cutting-edge tomorrow.
Special Events are also held during each Technical Meeting and are open to the public. This quarter, the events include:

Larry Johnson, the OMG Technical Director, characterized the importance of attending a TC meeting this way, "Technical collaboration requires the close exchange of ideas and open discussion. This, in turn, requires an environment of mutual trust and understanding. Technical Committee meetings provide the perfect backdrop for participants to get to know one another in formal and informal meetings and over dinner. Knowing an associate personally means there is less chance of emails and teleconferences being misinterpreted. This enables fruitful discussions to continue smoothly between face-to-face meetings."
