Consortium for I.T. Software Quality to Host Seminar at OMG Technical Meeting in New Brunswick, NJ
Focus on software measures in productivity and quality improvement programs

Needham, MA- 08-05-2013- The Consortium for Information & Software Quality (CISQ) is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a seminar on using software measures in productivity and quality improvement programs. The seminar will take place during the Object Management Group (OMG®) technical meeting at the Hyatt Regency hotel in New Brunswick, NJ on Wednesday, September 25th from 9:00am-4:30pm.

Specific presentations will include an introduction to structural quality analysis and technical debt; a comparison of best and worst practices in productivity analysis and improvement; and a discussion on measuring and managing software security. Additional presentations and attention will be given to the topics involving new product and platform software development quality needed for new startup companies seeking scalability and market proven results.

A spotlight will also be shone on the OMG Automated Function Point standard which was proposed and led to adoption by CISQ. A session on using Automated Function Points in sizing and estimating will be led by Mike Harris, CEO of the David Consulting Group.

"The object of this seminar is to deploy state of the art techniques for measuring productivity and the structural quality of business software," said Dr. Bill Curtis, Director of CISQ.

In addition to a seminar at OMG's meeting in Berlin this past June, CISQ has hosted three fully-attended webinars in the past few months. The great interest generated by CISQ events shows the overarching need for standardizing software quality across industries.

Registration fees for the seminar begin at $50 USD. All OMG members and interested nonmembers are encouraged to attend. For more information, to view the full agenda, and to register, visit https://www.omg.org/cisq-nj
